How to use the Troop Training & Promotion calculator
- Choose "Unit count" to plan a number of units, or "Speedups" to see how many units your speedups cover.
- Under "Operation", pick "Train new units" or "Promote existing units".
- Select the "Target unit level", and for promotion also the "Current unit level".
- Enter the "Units you want to train or promote".
- To include your current bonuses, tick "Use the order values shown in my Barracks" and copy the order size, capacity, time and costs from your Barracks; promotion always uses these values.
- Read the "Training plan": total units, time and resources.
Example: training 5,000 level 8 units
Choose "Train new units", select Level 8 and enter 5,000 units. With base values, one unit takes 3 min, so the "Total base training time" is 10 days 10 hr, and the plan costs 22,675,000 Food and 22,675,000 Iron.
Switch to "Speedups" and enter 3 days: at base time, that covers 1,440 level 8 units. Press "Use this quantity" to move that number back to the unit plan.
Frequently asked questions
- Do the base values include my bonuses?
- No. Base values exclude training speed bonuses and resource reductions. To plan with your own bonuses, use the order values shown in your Barracks.
- Why does promotion need my Barracks values?
- Promotion costs and times are taken from the promotion screen for the levels and order size you choose, so enter what the game shows you.
- Why do I get more units than my target?
- The plan repeats your complete Barracks order. If the order size does not divide your target evenly, the last order produces extra units, shown as "Units above your target".
- Does the plan include waiting time between orders?
- No. Orders run one after another with the same bonuses and no idle time.
- How are speedups counted?
- Only complete units or complete orders count, and unused time is shown separately. Resources are not checked in this view.
- Are my entries saved?
- Yes. Your operation, levels, quantities, Barracks values and speedups are kept in this browser.
