The Airship Center is where you develop your Airship. The Airship attacks during battles and cannot itself be targeted. Part of its stats is converted into hero stats, with the resulting bonuses shown in the Airship interface.
How Airship levels work
Data Training gives the Airship EXP. Training raises its level and stats, while some upgrades also require Airship Parts. Its skills upgrade automatically at Airship levels 30, 50, 70, 90 and 110.
The center is a single-level building. These Airship levels belong to the Airship itself, rather than a series of building upgrades.
Components and chips
Components unlock at Base level 15. The Airship can equip six components, supplied through chests from the Component Factory. Lower-level components improve through synthesis; component slots switch to research progression after an equipped component first reaches level 8.
Chips are a separate system tied to Combat Advancement. A chip loadout contains an Opening, Offensive, Disruption and Defensive skill, and you choose a loadout before a squad battle. The Chip Institute is part of that chip development.
