The Component Factory automatically produces Airship Component Chests. Opening a chest gives components to install through the Airship Center, where they add hero stats. Construction requirements include Base level 15.
How components improve
The Airship has six component slots. For equipped components up to level 7, three components of the same type and level can be synthesized into one higher-level component of that type.
When an equipped component first reaches level 8, that slot switches to Research Value progression. Further development builds research progress rather than continuing the same three-component synthesis loop. Progress grants stat bonuses, with additional milestones along the way.
The factory and the Airship
The factory supplies chests; installing and developing components happens in the Airship system. Upgrading the factory is a different action from upgrading an installed component, and the factory's building level is not a component level.
The Chip Institute supports another part of Airship development. Chip skills and component stats have separate upgrade systems even though both contribute to the Airship setup.
